 Patti and the Nebrodi Mountains

Itineraries through the territory of Patti and the Nebrodi Park

ITINERARY n°4

LIBRIZZI - SANT'ANGELO DI BROLO  - CASTELL'UMBERTO - FLORESTA

The road that links Patti to Librizzi goes through a myriad of characteristic villages immersed in the countryside. Librizzi, perched on a hill, has an urban area of very old origin.

A road immersed in the woods leads from Librizzi to Sant'Angelo di Brolo, a little town famous for salami and the innumerable cultural remains.

Another town rich in touristic attractions is Castell'Umberto, half hill and half mountain, with its polished streets and its nearby woods full of picnic areas.

For those fond of mountains a stop you must make is of course Floresta, the highest town of Sicily and gateway to the Nebrodi Park.

Nebrodi's territory is particularly sensitive to old popular traditions, celebrated in all the towns that form the Park with a lot of feasts during the year.

There are also numerous lakes and rivers, among which the most famous are Biviere, Maulazzo and Trearie that you can easily reach from Floresta.

Furthermore, Nebrodi contains a wide range of floral species and landscapes very different from each other.

Besides the variety of the landscape it's also surprising the great number of walking tracks that you can take while discovering the Nebrodi Park.
