Patti and the Nebrodi Mountains Itineraries through the territory of Patti and the Nebrodi Park ITINERARY n°3 MONTAGNAREALE - SORRENTINI - GIOIOSA GUARDIA
You go along the panoramic road that links Patti to the town of Montagnareale, known for the old mill, the Mulino di Capo (Capo's Mill), and for chestnuts.
The road that crosses the town of Montagnareale leads also the village of Sorrentini.
In Sorrentini we recommend that you stop in "Belvedere" from which you can enjoy a splendid view over the gulf.
The farming museum is interesting, too. Another very important stopping-place is the ruins of Gioiosa Guardia, where the modern Gioiosa Marea is also situated. From Gioiosa Guardia you can also enjoy an enchanting view over the gulf, the Aeolian Islands and the Saracena coast.
